




The improvements under this contract include reducing the width of the travel lanes and modifying shoulders to add 4-foot bike lanes in both directions, constructing sidewalk, drainage improvements, adding roundabout at NE 16th Court, permanently reducing speed limit to 25 MPH, installation of pedestrian lighting, adding landscaping and swales to improve drainage, removing old asphalt and resurfacing the roadway, constructing 8 raised intersections and 6 raised pedestrian crosswalks and adding new signing and pavement markings.
Solid Consulting Engineers supported the Old Dixie Highway reconstruction project (NE 13th St. - Middle River Bridge) by providing a CEI Roadway Inspector. This professional ensured quality control and adherence to project specifications during various improvements, including: adding bike lanes and sidewalks for enhanced safety, constructing a roundabout for improved traffic flow, lowering speed limits and installing pedestrian lighting, upgrading drainage systems and repaving the roadway, implementing raised intersections and crosswalks.
Solid Consulting Engineers' contribution helped guarantee the successful completion of this project, promoting safer and more user-friendly transportation infrastructure.
